Dennis, I am not talking gas consumption relative to dive students, I am talking relative to myself and my teammates, who are constantly working out and diving and getting better. I can tell a major difference in the last year. My test is lobster diving on the same spots against the clock with an al 80. Translate that into 300 feet with double 104's, on a scooter, and you are talking big distance. I just did a dive that my instructor ran out of gas on nine years ago and only used 200 psi out of my hundreds, finishing the whole ordeal in the same time on the stages only. That is progress, chief, and he is the one who made me get in shape. In fact, he said he would not dive with me if I did not do what I now do. I just taped the tanks back up and put them away for the next dive. - G
