Hi, I bought a mini hammerhead last year. I used it in many circumstances. It = works under and over the water. I found it very useful for the following = situations: 1. For training. Instructor can attract the attention of not experienced = divers. 2. Simple UW communication for limited visibility (rivers, wrecks, caves, = etc.) I don't know how many divers on the list remember the rope signals, but = mini hammerhead can be something like that. A group of divers can easily = agree on 3-5 types of signals (like simple Morse). Using this method they = can communicate during the limited visibility, wreck diving even if they = can't see each other. Usually I dive with my friend. Each member of our group have mini = hammerhead. We use the following signals: one short - attention! two = short - I am searching you, sign back, three short - danger! Of course it can be modified. Using short signals we louse not too much = air. 3. The third application might be the shark protection. In two weeks I = will go to Port Berenice (Egypt, very close to Sudan) and I hope I will = have opportunity to test mini Hammerhead on sharks. Laszlo Abel - CMAS Instructor - Laszlo_Abel@ma*.ce*.ch*
