Underwater applications has a mini doppler machine available for a good price ($595 with one probe and additional probes at $295), The size makes it very attractive for travel/boat use (5.5"x2.9"x1.1") and it's powered by a 9 volt battery. Leaving aside why I would want to measure postdive bubbles (which I'm willing to discuss), has anyone actually used this machine or compared it with standard or other portable dopplers? UnderWater applications (508 628-9520) recommends a 2MHz probe for precordial (heart) observations and a 4MHz probe for subclavian measurements. Do you have any opinions about which or other probe(s) would be most useful for detecting silent bubbles in divers doing 4-5 dives a day in the 80-150 fsw range for 10 or more days. many thanks for any info and safe diving Peter Heseltine heseltin@hs*.us*.ed*
