Subject: constricting one-piece DUI drysuit underwear
To: techdiver@terra.net
My special ordered DUI underwear just arrived, it's their C-4 thinsulate
one-piece model, size large. However, because there is no stretch to the
underwear and it is one-piece I find that it tends to constrict my ability to
reach up and over my head to manipulate my tank valves. (I haven't actually
dove with it yet, just tried it on in the house). It seems there is not enough
fabric under the arms to allow fully stretched arm movements. I'm 5'10",
180lbs and use a size large CF200 drysuit which fits fine otherwise and gives
me full arm mobility. It's only the underwear that seems to restrict arm
mobility.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? The underwear seems to fit just
fine otherwise, and I suspect that size XL would be incredibly baggy on me.
I'm thinking of sending back the underwear and looking for two-piece underwear
that should allow fuller arm movements. Unfortunately, the dive shops here in
Juneau have nothing useful in stock so I have to special order everything and
guess at the sizing. Anyone care to comment on one-piece vs. two-piece
underwear?
