I spoke to the technical people who work for the distributors of Teledyne 
O2 sensors here in Aus.
They seal the sensors in small-volume gas-tight bags. The sensors soon 
chew up the O2 component of the air in the bags, leaving only the 
Nitrogen. They don't otherwise bother to store them in pure N2.
