I too have had similar problems as George with pee valves.  A buddy of mine
who is a Navy Seal sent me a valve that they had designed by the Lockeed
Skunk Works out at Tonopah.  It had a receptacle made of honeycombed titanium
bonded with high tensile strength composite Kevlar.  

Well, I busted it on the first dive.  Tore that sucker up just looking at the
Dive-Rite models on the beach...

(Then I woke up.)

Well.  A fella can dream, can't he?
