For one, you will be sure the regulator will work the way it should. Not to mention the fit of fins, (foot blisters on a holiday are no fun at all) if in bare feet. A lot of dive operators in other countries do not offer the use of a Dive Computer. And primarily depend on the "Dive Master" to shepherd the dive. Just out of habit it is better to think self sufficiency, and have a buddy. I hope you have a wonderful trip, make sure you get your shots. Stay in contact with an embassy. They can be of real service when traveling abroad. Let them know when you are going to arrive at a destination and contact them. If you don't show up, at least some inquiries can be made by them as to your where abouts. Plus they can forward mail to you. It's worth contacting one at home and understand the services they are able to provide. Please let us all know how the trip went and of course the best places to dive. Sorry I can't be of any more help with prices and locations. Bob.
