I understand the long hose sharing in a restricted environment. And I
personally feel that a longer hose gives more freedom for sharing air...
BUT... Someone on here said they want to be out of the way of the out
of air diver...
I gotta say BULLSHIT!!! (sorry)
I was trained, fully beleive, and would guess that no one will dispute
the fact that the out of air diver needs to be stabalized AND controlled.
I have had one out of air diver at 65', I saw him coming, handed him my
Octopus (it worked...), and IMMEDIATELY locked up with him. If he
bolted for the surface, he had to take me with him, and I would have been
dumping my BC all the way to the top.
Giving an out of air diver one of your regs and not controlling him/her
seems infinitely stupid. I'VE GOT air. He/she doesn't. Who should
control?
My humble opinion...
