Gary, when you're handed a non-functioning regulator and are out of 
air, guess what. There will be some stress. Remember, when you 
realize you're out of air you're inhaling, that means you have an 
empty set of lungs. You don't get that chance to take a full breath.

Now you still haven't answered my question. Tell you what Gary, when 
you can answer it I'll GIVE YOU FOR FREE ONE SET OF 104's. You pay 
shipping.

The question is:

How is stuffing the long hose and breathing the short hose safer then 
always breathing the long hose and passing that regulator off?

And sorry, "two divers out of air for one second" doesn't cut it 
because if you can't handle doing a regulator change you shouldn't be 
diving.

DCS is not the issue. Drowning is. DCS is just skirting around the 
topic at hand.
