Maybe you can tell us all where your redundency is here, how to share gas, how you would avoid a tox while getting out of where you had gotten into like this. This really is the dumbest thing I have seen yet, even dumber than just doing it on deep air. When you figure all of that out, Rich, you can go back, dig up Ed Suarez, and explain it to him - he must not have been as good as you , because he is dead . As you recall, he was diving air on his back with stages of trimix. The air was in independents. It tool a little longer to get back, the situation turned streessful he ran out of mix at 300 feet, had to go to air. He toxed, and drowned. Real smart, just like what you are proposing. Let me just explain this to you and anyone else: you dive the deepest gas on your back, where the cornerstone of your entire plan is set. You deal with emergencies from that foundation. You do not put yourself in a position of being forced to the wrong gas at the worst time. This is pretty simple. Shortsightedness is no excuse. - G
