Nor have I. "Mr. Nick O' Teen" can stay out of any diving club that I am in
charge of; he better go back to his proper job which is killing insects.

The enemy of freedom and the enemy of the people is all round us and we see
it and we don't notice it: it is People, Each Other, numbers, overcrowding,
same as that shepherds say that the worst enemy of a sheep is another sheep.

Does CO work ONLY by blocking the haemoglobin? I read that if rats are kept
in several bars pressure so that enough oxygen dissolves in the blood plasme
for them to live on, the haemoglobin is bypassed and the rats can tolerate
massively superlethal amounts of CO. If that exactly so, or can CO also cause
nitrogen-type narcosis or block some other part of the metabolism system?

Re the similar and also lethal substance HCN (hydrogen cyanide gas); could a
man wearing a breathing set with a fullface mask be safely deloused by
fumigation with HCN? Or would he absorb a lethal amount through his skin?
