Subject: Intro and O2 cleaning question
Hello
I've been lurking on the mailing list for a couple of weeks now and thought
I'd introduce myself and post a question.

First the question. I am planning to clean a couple of steel tanks this
spring and am a little concerned about rust. That is, both initially as the
tank dries, and later condensation mixed with high pressure at elevated PO2.
Is there anything non-toxic and non flammable that I can use to inhibit rust
that is recommended for use in scuba tanks? Or do I just borrow my wife's
hair dryer and dry them out before they rust. Any thoughts?

Now the introduction:
I've been diving 7 years, with about 280 logged. About 2/3 of those dives
are in the cold, low vis, waters of the Great Lakes on the various
shipwrecks. Another 30 or so are same conditions, but inland lakes. The
last 40 are Truk, Maui, and Bonaire. Over time I've gradually worked my way
up to being comfortable in the 120-160' range and am pushing deeper as we
exhaust the available shallow wrecks. Now some friends and I are looking
into trimix to extend our range and decrease narcosis as we get a bit deeper.
