The purpose of this little hacking demonstration is to show, that in 30 seconds one can already fake a message pretty well. If one is willing to invest an hour - it would look totally realistic. Internet mail has NO authentication feature built in. Virtually anyone can send any message from most SMTP servers - WITHOUT having an account or a password there.
