Speaking earlier to Micheal from Munich about ropes for ice diving I
advised him to look for 7mil climbing ropes...SORRY...a slip of the
mind....I should have said 9mm!!!

Also Michael, you can get ropes that are designed for wet and ice climbing.
They usually are labelled <dry> or <Superdry>. I don't have a lot of
experience with this type but they are supposed to wick on less
water....worth a try at any rate....by the way, have found Petzl make a
very good locking biner for underwater use....take care
