Re "narcosis" etc I have a very basic question. I have only ever dived within
"normal" no decompression limits on normal compressed air i.e
deepest I have been is 47 metres for about 4 mins, in warm tropical waters,
on 3 separate occasions. I have not experienced any narcotic symptoms on any
occassion. Here is the question(s);
1. Should I be getting "narced" at these depths? Or is it too variable to
say?
2.Re mixed gas diving. What is the technical/physiological reason for simply
not replacing the nitrogen with say, helium, (Aside from expense!) For dives
below
say 200 ft? Is the decompression "better" or "worse"? What about the "narc?"
3. As a diver who has never gone beyond "sport" non-decompression dives,
what is the next step in going deeper for longer, "safely?"

Pls xcuse moi ignorance, but I not done any tech diving yet and have only
been on this list for a little while.
