As someone who is a personal acquaintance with both the proprietor of the
mentioned Hawaii dive shop & Mr. Crea, I feel compelled to point out that
NEITHER of them posted their messages with ANY intent of increasing their
personal profit.  This was already underscored for the dive shop, and I
want to now underscore it for the posting of the message about TDI.

With all the recent discussions of training agencies on this forum, I think
that a notification of an alternative training agency in technical diving
is of great interest to all (or at least most) members of this forum.

John Crea has been a long-time & EXTREMELY valuable contributor to the
CompuServe Technical Diving forum, and I am elated to see he has joined
this one.  I KNOW his contributions will come to be greatly valued by all.

Incidently, I have absolutely NO financial interest in either the Hawaii
Dive shop or TDI.

That having been said, I must agree that any for of advertisements on this
forum should be STRONGLY discouraged.  It's hard enough for me to keep up
with all the messages I get from this group (all of which, I might add,
are very useful and interesting), I'd hate to have to sift through all
sorts of advertisements.  Again, these are my own opinions and may not agree
with the opinions of other on this mailing list.

I just wanted to get in my $0.02 on this one....
