The molten metal stays in bubbles, which sink onto you, burning nice holes in skin or suit. The O2 and Hydrogen bubbles often explode, and you need a helmet to use it. If a larger pocket of gas forms, (bigger than small bubbles) the resulting explosion will be big enough to maim or kill. (It often does). Rod Nairne.
