From David for Tom Mount

I just talked to Tom, he is out of town he is in Cayman until Friday
and then goes directly to north Florida thus will not be on the net,
and he requested that I post the following:

from Tom"When I read the studies on E and other antioxidants, my
understanding of them is that the material does show such strong
evidence that antioxidants help, that I personally accept it as proof.
However as the entire spectrum of vitiamin and antioxidants is
controversal . I will stand corrected that there is not concrete proof
of it's benefit. I will continue to use and recommend antioxidants as I
THINK the evidence is supportive enough to silence the doubt of most
people and I beleive in their value. In factPatti and I can relate to
some amazing benefits of E when she was burned in an airplane crash 2nd
degree on 60% of her body, and told she would be scarred for life. Six
months later we started placing liquid E on her and within a couple of
months the scars diminished to a point you have to look real close to
tell she has any texture change from the burns in her skin, before the
E her whole upper torso was bright purplish red and scarred looking.

There has been much research where they are used and demonstrate
tremoundous healing and preventive measures. Please refer to Health
Alternatives by Dr. Durante in this publication there are pages and
pages of referenced research where vitamins and antioxidants have been
benefisical in SCIENTIFIC studies in overcoming various health
problems, in addition to his work there are pages and pages of
references. On the point of concrete proof to the naysayers I stand
corrected but I will in my opnion be much safer from the use of them."

Tom said he hoped this would allow the topic to be discussed in a more
reasonable manner and that those offended, by his acceptance of the
work as being proof to him and to a lot of folks in research as well,
will accept his apology and they can continue doing as they do and he
willcontinue doing as he does and would they accept the statement that
research and the exeperience of many divers, shows their may be some
protective agents in atioxidants with emphasis on the MAY.
