Jim, I have read the Aquacorps article. While there are a few inaccuracies, I think it effectively points out that you guys are not in touch with reality, but I knew that already. So what. WKPP has been diving Leon Sinks for nine years, although we have only been allowed a few exploarion dives in Wakulla up until now. We focused on Sally Ward, basicly getting out the pooper scooper to clean up where you guys blew it. So what else is new? We will proceed as planned under our permits, which are concurrent for the next few years from several Government agencies and private landowners coverng the twenty some miles of cave. I personally am offended that you and Stone told Aqualcorp that you met with me and then blew me off. I am also offended that you guys are demeaning our accomplishmensts, and think you will go three times further. This will not be necessary, as the next sinkhole is 17000 feet, and we have 4400 downstream in that and 6200 upstream in Wakulla. That leaves roughly 7000 more feet. Since we did the donwstream on a double stage, and the upstream on a tripple, we should have no problem going eight to ten from either one. Since we do this type of thing on a regular basis in this type of cave, we see no big problems. We have the gas, we have the vehicles, and we have the deco habitats being built right now, by me. When the system clears , we will dive. I resent Bill Stone talking about our "open circuit heroics". Let's hear about the "human ginnuea pig heroics" of your rebreather testers. Maybe you could tell us why using this machine, which has not been subjected to proper testing, in my opinion, and in the opinion of my chief engineer, who may know a just a little about this, is safer than scuba. If you want to accuse me of putting peoples lives at risk, I will simply let the record speak for itself. I will suggest that you go do a cave dive and find out what you are talking about. I would like to hear what cave dives have been done with the MK5. I suspect none, and I know of none in Leon Sinks. I am diving with real equipment and real people doing real things right here and right now and producing results. I am making the films, the maps, doing the studies and working several sites at once in a coordinated effort with six government agencies , three universtiies and one museaum. I especially resent Wes Skiles saying that "we have contacts way above the ""people"" who are letting you dive", and intimating that he can override these "people". I resent Mark Lenard saying that he will call the Governor of Florida , since he is such a big political contibutor, and get our access revoked, I resent John Zumrick indicating that our scooters are no good, when he would not have any clue about something like this. I resent Jim King and Bill Stone and all of them acting like they can do something that none of them has ever done, that we do on a regular basis and have done for years. The magazine left out most of waht I really said, but I can tell you this: we are all offended by this, and I have been proven wrong by talking to these people agaist the advice of my top people, and in the face of previous treachery by the same people, and in the face of a constant barrage of criticism by these same people. I really do not understand why they ever came to us in the first place, when they had no intention of working with us in any way, or helping our Project in any way. This whole thing has been an ugly charrade. George Irvine are in for a good fight
