Tonight I drove over to Steve Irving's house to read the Aqua Corpse
article on Jim(gopher hole)King and Bill(somebody make my rebreather
work) Stone. At first I thought I was reading a script from Comic
Relief, then I reailized King is serious about drilling a 10 foot hole
into A tunnel. Why does King need to destroy Wakulla Springs just so
he can dive, who the hell does he think he is? The scary thing is, he
can do it, it's only half the size of the one in his head. King's poor
skill as a diver should not result in the destruction of a natural
resource as grand as Wakulla Spring. If he wants to see Old Faitful,
he can go to Yellowstone.
King was also worried about WKPP putting arrows in his back. The
only way an arrow could get into his back is when he turns his head in
SHAME. King does not need to fear WKPP as much as he needs to duck
from the pure hell he will get from the people of Wakulla County. Not
to mention the State of Florida and the cave diving community. What
King needs to do is take up golf, or better yet, free-fall sky diving.
I was at this meeting in Branford and heard all this stupidity then,
just did not think it would go this far. Tom(Mr. Conservation) was
standing by King's side backing him up. Mark Lenord was complaining
about George saying " George should not attack a possible sponsor ",
hell, we didn't ask him to be one. Wes was talking about a live video
feed to CNN of the cave, Wes could'nt get the film in '87, what makes
him think he is good enough to get it now? And Zumrick, well, who
gives a fuck about what he thinks. The best part of the meeting was
watching George making paper airplanes with the proposal they handed
us when we walked in.
What was the point of this article, they have no access, none of the
toys they were talking about, no sponsors, and best of all, no fucking
clue as to what they are doing. I beg all you cave divers, DON'T LET
KING DESTROY WAKULLA SPRING. If King wants to see the cave, I'll give
him a video of any part of it he wants to see, he doesn't have to kill
everything in his holy path. Don't let Kings' money suck you in too,
JUST SAY NO.
Well, I could go on and on about these morons, but I think I've
said enough, FOR NOW!
