Subject: trip report - Mike Madden's Cedam Dive Center

Just come back from an 8 day vacation in the above center.

This has been one of my best diving vacations  so far.

The accomodation was confortable, the instructor Charles Stevens a real cave
diving  professional, the staff extremly helpfull and  nice, and the caves
 truly outstanding.

The highlight of the trip  was the  video work in the caves, given  my
 particular interest on the subject and  thanks to Charles unique experience
with the camera and the lights.
We borrowed a 400watt light which Charles was carrying together with the camera
while I had a further 350 watts  (4 video heads  - 2 on my helmet and 2 in my
hands). Stage bottles were used in one occasion to extend bottom time.

When I look at those shots of the Room of Tears and Cristal Palace in Car Wash
Cenote or the  unbelievably decorated  chambers of El Gran Cenote, I just can't
wait  to go back there !!!!
