Richard, I am currently in possession of one of these to see if it will hold up. I don't like the idea of the long hose being shut off, but I worry about losing any gas while on my stages. While I have not lost any gas while riding, I though I would try it, or maybe I won't. I leave all of my second stages loose anyway, so I could take the thing off if it fails and just put the second stage back on without it. I can change out all of my second stages underwater, so if I am having a problem with a main reg, I can swap it with a stage bottle so that my main gear is still ok, and the thumb can stay in the pocket. It is easy enough , as you know, to breath a stage bottle with a bad second just by turning the valve off and on. I got this device from Deans who uses them for his downline O2 to keep the regs from freeflowing. It appears, now that I have thought this out, that I willnot use it on my main gear, but will use it on deco bottles wreck diving so I can leave them on and keep the salt water out of the first stages. Thanks for reminding me, RT (about the o-rings), you are right. - G On Tue, 28 Nov 1995, Richard Todd <afn33646@af*.or*> wrote: > > >On Tue, 28 Nov 1995 Dittner@ao*.co* wrote: > >> >> There was a thread a while back about second stage shut off valves.
