Do you mean brucellosis (alias `contagious abortion'? Humans can catch it from
infected milk or by handling calves that were aborted due to brucellosis.

The human equivalent is called Creutzfeld-Jakob disease (the `J' is pronounced
`y'.) But there has been another theory on the TV, that Mad Cow disease can be
brought on by exposing the cow to some organophosphate pesticides.
