I'll pass on a copy of your message to the guy who asked me about them initially (my boss here at the Museum where I work). It seems to me, the metal would serve as sort-of a heat-sink. Unlike the water layer of a wetsuit, it doesn't circulate everytime you torque your body. If I every get to try one, I'll pass on my experiences. Thanks again.... Aloha, Rich
