OK, you asked for one.  With independents you do not have access to all 
of you gas through one regulator.  Most failures seem to occur in the 
second stage (free flow).  If so on independents, and one must be shut 
down.  One half of the gas supply has been lost.  This is not the case 
with a manifold.
