The idea was that I would carry it in my BC pocket, and if my primary reg failed, I'd pop on the backup to my tool hose (I had a second inflator hose that I had an air-gun on - which I used to chase fish out of holes - it worked pretty well, actually - the air gun, that is). I even tried it a few times to see if it worked - and it did. However, I don't recommend it - too much corrosion on the inside of the pop-off 2nd stage. Also, I didn't have an AIR-II fitting - it was just a regular BC fitting (actually, it was Scubapro's old BC fitting, which was slightly larger than most BC fittings, but smaller than an AIR II fitting), so there was a major flow restriction which I could feel below about 90 feet or so. Folks; don't even THINK about trying this at home. Aloha, Rich
