Tek Divers, If a dive light works for you, and the type of diving YOU do, use it! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to take a look at the pressure/sress and design a "Square" light to work for that situation. Sure you may be able to design a cheaper "Round" light to work under those same situation. But, the fact doesn't change, a square dive lite can be designed to work at any (reasonalbe) depth. So, If you like a style of dive light and it happens to be square, buy it. If it works for you, use it. If it doesn't then get rid of it and buy another. There is no dive light on the market that has not failed. If it hasn't, that doesn't mean it won't fail. A cheap light is a cheap light, A good light is a good light, regardless of it's shape.
