Not used the Blizzard but have used the Oasis which is similar and has the same first stage. Sherwood has a good record for reliability and ease of service and I have personal experience with the Oasis in <40 deg. F. temp.water and at depths approaching 200 ft.. Never had a free flow from freezing and have not over-breathed the reg but have not gotten in a heavy exertion situation (and don't want to at great depth). The prime difference between the Blizzard asn the Oasis is the intermediate pressure of the Blizzard is turned down to 125 psi to prevent freezeing at the seccond stage (as I stated before I have not had any freezes with the Oasis) but then I am not going to hold in the purge button just to see if I can make it freeze under conditions where I don't want to initiate a problem.
