When have you ever seen a pressure vessel with FLAT surfaces? Why don't submarines have flat surfaces? Hint - it has to do with that little pee word - pressure. As the neutraleak lights get subjected to greater pressure, the batteries are called upon to act as a structural member. Now, supposedly Dive Rite actually DESIGNED them this way (can you BELIEVE that!) but it's not something you'd catch ME diving with. There was a reported instance of a neutraleak imploding at 150' when the batteries were not installed and Dive Rite themselves report implosions at 200-500' with no battery. >Gentile liked them and everybody says he's a great diver. The design sucks, it's wrong, and it's going to be replaced after the world wakes up and notices how bad these are. Dive >Rite means dive right! Mike Gladso. You ought to learn a little first before you get on the WRONG bandwagon. Not many people defend the neutraleak anymore. Hell, even the people at dive rite wouldn't defend it if they weren't building it, but, for now, they're stuck with it - it pays their mortgage. And, before you go calling me a "college kid" you has better learn WHO you're talking to. -Carl-
