I've been reading this whole thread with shock. I coached 12 year olds in soccer and at that age they are still very much developing motor skills. Can you imagine one of them trying to close off a cracked manafold while in a panic??! Or helping a diver that is in need of rescue? If these 12 year olds go on to advanced diving at 13, 14, or 15 those are the ages where some of the worst accidents take place because of the "Superman Syndrome". Kids, and I do mean kids think that they are impervious. The parents also tend to push their kids into wreckless behavior - "be a footbal star early...". Cave or Cavern - it does not matter. I also think that the PADI bubble blower program is NUTS! Along the lines of divers that smoke and fat slobs in the water (fat=nitrogen retension)! One of these days the insurance industry is going to wise up to these idiots and we are all going to be screwed. I don't want to have to lie about a sport that I love in order to keep insurance.
