A question, Last year in putting in the initial line in our New Little Cave in Belize, we occasionally had a little problem in finding good tie offs for the line. The basic problem was the amount if silt settled on the floor of the cave. In several sections of the cave, the scene looked like the Sahara desert with smooth sand er, silt, dunes (which could be several feet deep) covering the floor. If we tied the line to the occasional stalagmite standing upward, the center sections of the line would quickly be buried in silt and disappear. So we unwillingly used the stalactites on the ceiling for a temporary line. But needing to follow the line in zero vis would certainly slow down any exit that might be required. Does anyone have any experience with some kind of stakes or other standoffs that might be used? It would sure help us. Thanks for your help, Scott
