I'm trying to continue exploration and research efforts in several Arkansas cave systems. If anyone on these list have an interest in assisting with these efforts, please respond. Hell Creek Cave; Three known entrances, a 168' vertical shaft that leads to the first of three upstream sumps and two creek entrances that lead to a downstream syphon tunnel. Sump I, a short shallow sump (sss), accessed by the 168' vertical shaft. S-1 surfaces in lake room, a small airfilled chamber, approx 300'long X 50' wide . Sump II, accessed from the upstream end of the lake room. S-II is another sss that leads to the soda straw chamber, named as such due to the dozens of 2' to 4' soda straws that decorate the ceiling. Sump III, accessed from the upstream end of the straw chamber. S-III has been surveyed out to 1500' from entrance with no end in sight. Currently 6200' of surveyed passage with much more to do. Several other caves need similar work. Any interested parties please reply to: pdisler@io*.ne* "SILT HAPPENS"JD JEFF DISLER> SAFE CAVING NSS 26000
