We have to use the second LP-port for dry-suit inflation, since we don't > use argon (yet) I use an Argon bottle for everything here. The water is fairly cold and almost everything is over 130'. This means Tmx and Argon, everytime. This is the way I do it everywhere except when I get lucky enough to visit Mexico. There, the water is warm, a wet suit can be used and neither an Argon bottle or suit inflation hose are needed. This way, my "up front" gear is always the same. The second benefit of plugging the 1/2" port is that all of my dive partners use the standard 3/8" reg hose, as do I, for everything else. Why use the special 1/2" port which would diminish the availability of borrowing, etc., a spare hose should something happen to mine. Better yet, what if a buddy needs *my* hose for his rig or someone elses. I only team dive which means we strive for team efficiency in everything from gear, deco, gas, to eating dinner afterwards. It's hard to explain, but we're all buddy's and I'd do anything for any one of them. Third, using the 3/8" port moves the hose to the rear a bit more which makes it easier to push the wing back further instead of pushing on the back of your neck. It also makes it easier to push the wing under the hp hose for a streamlined fit there. > I noticed your deco-bottle valve tilted backwards, is this the brand or did > you do this yourself? The tilted valve on some of my bottles are the older Sherwood types. The come that way. > > Gertjan Verhoef
