The post mans just been and I received my copy of "Scuba Diver" magazine so I had a flick thru and found an article by our boy wonder Richard Taylor titled "Enough is Enough Is It" (an irreverent look at redundancy in diving). Oh its a gem of an article supporting bits and pieces like "Spare Air" "H-Valves" "Y- Valves" single cylinders with pony bottles, twin independent cylinders etc etc but the real gem is at the end of the article where he's developed a table naming each piece of equipment and how many of each you need to score the highest possible redundancy!!!! or at least thats how it appears to read but it so convoluted I'm still not quite sure. Fortunatly before this article theres an article by Michael Wisenbaker called "A Craving for Caves" which shows the real deal, it outlines the activities of the WKPP and the research being done in Florida. Excelent article great photos, shows what successful diving is all about.
