This isn't in dispute. Yet, the fact remains the GI is generally hated by most in the diving industry. Most have no issue with his message, only with his delivery. He frequently states that his goal in being a nasty, insensitive jerk is to save lives. This is laughable considering that most who would otherwise listen and perhaps heed his message are turned away by his attitude before ever hearing it. If his goal truly were to save lives, he would change his delivery to one of civility wherein he would reach more people. It seems clear that saving lives is not his goal, but rather to aggrandize himself and feed his delusion of superiority. > And The Big Agencies would never > have done this if the public had not demanded it. The changes effected are good ones, and most people would not argue otherwise, but there are civil ways of achieving change. > So, Mr. Anonymous Helium dude, If you can't stand the heat, get out of the > boiler room. GI and his crowd routinely make similar statements. They're getting old. I can take the heat and so can most of the people who despise him. This isn't an issue of whether or not I can take ad hominem abuse. It's about business. JJ was uninvited to OzTek at least in part due to GI's attitude and JJ's refusal to reprove him. Associating with someone who routinely spews invective and who, for example, publicly demeans those who've died in diving accidents without regard for the families and friends of the dead will always be bad business, and this situation with OzTek, however unfair to JJ, is proof of that. --part1_37.76b3465.269cde4f_boundary--
