Seems like an effective way to keep the strokes on the beach and not in the
water though. Hope he didn't get burned bad, but it will at least be some
time before he is a recovery candidate.

yes, trout, but you have to realize the serious stupidity out there.  common

sense seems a thing of the past.  the basic fire triangle of a combustible 
(the oil), oxygen and heat add up to an accident.  this is just as stupid as

everyone out there that has started diving trimix regularly with no training

whatsoever.  another body recovery waiting to happen.
