This is, of course, true :-)
The only times I have seen the EEs leak was using a Delrin Lid in 3deg C
water. A problem that was addresed and fixed within a week - and that's to
the
UK.

Both times I've had to fix the AUL of a friend it has been a cannister
o-ring
problem, not a fault with the unit. Just like a camera, it only needs a hair
in the wrong place.

I think she'll be a lot more fastidious in the future.

As for the repair, I replaced the parts, but did not make any modifications.
