im in the market to replace my regulators.

been using scubapro mark 10 with g250 2nd stages since 1989 (over 10
years!), and its time to upgrade.

i noticed that the g250 is still the 2nd stage of choice (lucky me), i
wonder if there have been any significant changes to warrant changing over
to the current model.

also noticed that the mark 20 seems to be the 1st stage of choice for
stages, but apex for back gas? i looked at the apex catalog, and the model
i saw mentioned on this list was just a simple no swivel diaphragm regulator
WITHOUT their environmental packgage. i understand the no swivel, and
personally prefer the diaphragm IF IT WORKS PROPERLY, but would think the
environmental option would help keep the regulator from needing service,
but......
so whats the rational for this? is there some downside to having the
environmental option? (for me it would keep the salt water out, resulting
in a lot less service issues)

So what is the current thoughts concerning regs, and what should i get? (or
perhaps i will just keep a couple of the older rigs for stages, but i still
want to get at least two newer ones because i dont particularly like the
mark 10s tendency to "creep")

thanks,

mark
