Keep in mind that the only time you notice the 15% difference is when you're at 300 feet on air <g>. On a related note, I love to read the ridiculous articles in dive magazines that compare regulator performance. They try to find the best breathing reg at depths of like 150+ using air. People forget (or simply don't know) that when you DIR (add a bunch of helium at depth), the friction is greatly reduced due to the overall reduction in fluid density due to the helium. - Bill -----Original Message----- From: Harris, Paul [SMTP:pharris@cr*.pl*.uk*] Sent: Wednesday, April 12, 2000 10:52 AM To: 'Drew Glasbrenner'; 'trey@ne*.co*'; 'Cave listserv' Subject: RE: Back Gas Regulators << File: ATT00005.txt; charset = windows-1252 >> The other reason people (I did anyway) insist on using the end port is that in the manual you are told that you will get ~15% better performance from that port compared to the others on the turret. JJ put me straight there :-), I've never noticed any difference apart from the fact that I did not get the tight bend when sharing. r Paul
