Brock, Mr. Bruic's response to my observation was a simple one, "it's the little guy that voted these clowns and jesters of the highest court into office, and only they can remove them." One of the problem's with this perspective is there's a heck of a lot of cave divers out there, bearing cards issued by these organizations, that are not polically active nor voting members of any of these entities. Others who are members are not active enough to know the "players" and either refrain from casting their votes on this basis or take blind guesses based on the limited information provided them before an election. I've always been of the opinion that a good instructor will provide good instruction in spite or what agency he or she might be affiliated with. I've also notice that many good divers will progress into great divers despite who did their initial training. Based on that perspective if it were my property I'd be more inclined to refuse cards from certain instructors rather than entire agencies. However, in the long run, whether right or wrong... good or bad, as long as it's his property he may do with it as he pleases. There's no room for arguement there, nor reason to disrespect that right. As for you quandry, it's only one cave, there are others. If you've done your research and settled upon an instructor you feel comfortable with stick with him. Frankly I've never gotten around to a dive at Madison Blue, haven't lost a minute's sleep over that fact and I'm sure I won't lose any in the future if the situation remains the same. Regards, Bob D. Where does this leave us? Jason is highly thought of. In fact I reseached and approached him after receiving glowing reports from G-III and Jim Cobb. I feel very fortunate be accepted. But now doors are being slammed shut in me and my friends faces. As you said it's us little guys that are being punished. thanks for your concern Dive safe Brock Frederickson >>
