You still posted, and you're still posting.
What you're not doing is listening, or learning. I tell you this because I'm
one of the nicest guys on this list, and I figure almost everyone deserves a
single clue.
Since you showed up without one, I've given you one.
In case you missed it, or in case I was too subtle, the clue was
"You don't know anything yet, you have nothing to offer, so shut the fuck
up, pay attention, listen, and learn."
Now you're on your own. No one's going to "debate" with you, for two
reasons. Number one, no one cares if you "get it" or not, and number two,
the people here who know how to dive don't talk to strokes or listen to
strokes. It's rule #2.
Argue with them, and your time here will be both brief and uncomfortable.
They won't "debate" you, or justify their teachings to you. They'll answer
questions, but if you challenge them, they'll ridicule you into oblivion.
Then, after you've left, they'll add another notch to their flame-thrower,
and go diving. This isn't the AOL discussion group, this is the caver's
list, and no one cares about your feeling, or your opinions. There are far
more important issues at stake.

Geez,
I had no idea my little post would get such an emotional response. Talk about
lashing out in the dark. I just wish I knew what the heck you were referring
to.
I am not trying to learn anything from you. You have no clue what I do and
never will because I am not an arrogant know-it-all publicity seeker who
spends every waking hour trying to see how clever I can be in my post when
someone from another agency dies.
No one asked you to respond to me. And if you truly don't care anymore leave
it alone and respond no more.
I just think it is extremely interesting that my simple post responding to
the way people mock the dead has turned into a bitter brawl (on your part
only) on how much knowledge you have and how inferior I am for daring to
offer an opinion on respecting the dead. However, I should have not been
surprised. Your combative response is so typical of what I have seen on this
list over the past two years that I all but predictable what would be said by
someone regarding my post.
So, I will move on with my enjoyment of diving and I will let you get back to
resolving the "important issues that are at stake." Who knows, maybe you too
will one day make it on National Geographic.
Good luck to you as well and I do Sincerely wish you and every one else on
this list the safest of diving.
