Subject: Light Battery Voltage and harness rigging
To: cavers@cavers.com
I plan to burn test my light batteries and scooter battery. To what voltage
do I burn them down to? In other words, how low a voltage can they be
discharged to without damaging them? I guess twice the voltage would apply
to my scooter battery (x2 for 24V).

I know that there was some discussion a while back about how to weave the
webbing on the harness. I plan to cross the straps at the shoulders, it is
much more comfortable to me than not crossing them. How are the straps
supposed to be woven through the bottom of the plate? For years I have
taken the straps around the outside, back through the outer slot, and back
out the inner slot. I was wondering if anyone has a better method such as
simply through the inner slot and then back out the outer slot. It would
seem that it would hug the body better that way, but the adjustment might
slip. Any suggestions/opinions?
