  Steve,

  As far as where you can dive, you'll go to many of the popular spots =
when you do your level 1 - including at least a few dives at Ginnie. In =
the course, they'll also explain what your training limitations are, but =
I'll tell you, that most of the caves in the N. Central Florida area are =
accessible to someone with a GUE Cave 1 cert.

  As for breathing the long hose, if you're considering a GUE course, =
you need to spend some quality time with their website. One of the =
essays there explains the logic of breathing the long hose : =

  Also check out :

  =20
  And the rest of the site.

  Good luck with the course,

  Rich L

   Where in North Central Florida can someone with GUE level 1 training =
go=20
to practice their newfound skills? Do the Devil's Orifices in Ginnie =
Springs=20
fit the criteria? How about the panhandle?
   Do the privately owned springs unlock there grates and allow anyone =
with=20
a c-card to pass the barriers or would one have to be a noteworthy diver =

with a magazine byline to get in?
   Bear in mind that I haven't taken this training yet, I'm just =
indulging=20
curiosity. You guys don't seem averse to answering newbie questions, and =
if=20
you think this is a lot, you ain't seen nothin yet.
   I have been diving for four years, and reading this list for months.=20
Being restricted to open water diving in those springs is getting mighty =

old.
Thanks,
Steve Owens
