In case anyone happens to care, here is an update to the previous message. Open Water diving at Weeki Wachee 1st magnitude spring will start Sept 25th. The cost is $39.95 and includes regular admission to the park. Family and friends can watch you as you dive, but must pay regular admission themselves ($14.95 peak season and $10.95 regular). There will be a compressor on site. Cave and cavern diving will not be allowed for obvious reasons. I asked about the status of Twin Ds and he (Bill of Neptune Divers) claimed that they head exclusive rights to dive the cave and he is getting a "coalition" to dive and map the cave including Larry Green and Jim King. I thanked him for the info and hung up. I hope this doesn't get grated soon. I heard that many years ago diving was allowed for free at Weeki Wachee until a dive shop in central =46lorida started charging divers and not telling the park = administration. That's all the info I have...just some minor FYI.
