Christina, here is what you will find out about the cave diving community ( the ones who badmouth the WKPP) : Specificly, these are bunch of low self esteem losers who think that by participating in the "life threatening" sport of cave diving that they are somehow big time tough guys and girls. In fact , most of them are hopeless, braindead, potsmoking, drunken pussies or gravity problems other than the few "outsiders" who fall into the webb of the network of Central Florida haploids who "teach" cave divin'. The latter usually remove themselves to the WKPP or its circle of influnece in short order. These idiots have developed two organizations that are composed of "instructors" which have all but destroyed the sport. In addition, these fine folks have virtually eliminated 95% of the potential dive sites due to their assinine behavior an track record of death and destruction. The WKPP has done quite the opposite. We dive wherever we please, whenever we please with the full blessing of those who control the sites. In addition, we have developed or helped develop and prove all of the gear, configurations, and techniques with a major emphasis on safety, that are rapidly becoming the standard for this sport in all forms world-wide. Their alternative is what you read about in the newspapers. The fact is that the spineless and gutless who wrote to you complaining about the WKPP do not have the nerve to face us and argue anything that we do or say , and if they did, they know they would be publicly proven dead wrong and as worthless as I say they are in evey last little way. I disliked this mess from the first day I was exposed to it, and sought out the WKPP from day one for the simple and obvious reason that this was and is clearly where the action is.
