Yes, information (valid one) is everything. This thread made me think about the first time I subscribed to cavers. This was in 1994. I lived in the UK back then and I loved wreck diving off our BSAC club RIB. I had purchased my first set of doubles (independent) and was doing all kinds of other things that I don't care to share on this forum. Then I discovered a new source of information coming from the US. I read a lot. I studied a lot. It changed everything for me. These guys probably saved my life. I am so grateful for that. The best way to learn even more than what you can learn by reading and keeping an open mind is to get involved with DIR projects. There are quite a few around the world now. That's what I did and I've come a long long way. And there much more ahead if all goes well. A lot of people out there just need access to this information. I applaud the GUE initiative and all the people who contribute so many hours of their life disseminating valid information. They safe many lives every day and this is very noble. Keep learning. Safe diving. Take care. Hervé Deschamps 352-381-7371 - Gainesville FL.
