If you are just using the multi meter to check your batteries then any that will read to 1/10 vdc should be just fine. As I said earlier mine is very nice for this usage and was only $29 at Home Depot and is Digital. If you have other needs beyond checking batteries then perhaps you already know what is more suitable. Also I think that most on this list would not know how to adjust a analog multi meter. Hence the Digital Easy to use, reasonably accurate, and low cost. I suspest that all you EE's and ET's already have Flukes. I have one of the small (analog) Klukes, but for Caving I use the Digital because it is a fast and easy read.
