You roasted three Radio Shack meters. Then blew the fuse in the Fluke
twice. Id say its user error rather than all R/S meters are bad.
I have a couple R/S VOM's and they work nearly as well as my Fluke 77 or
Fluke 2043. Admittedly R/S VOM's are not as accurate when testing some
logic circuits but do rather well taking basic voltage and amperage
measurments.
I'd suggest which ever VOM a person selects, that an shunt be used for
amperage measurment that could potentialy exceed the design parameters of a
given meter.
