I am sending this to the list since several have asked the same question... (What trout does) a small bolt snap is attached to the stage reg hose near the second stage. For travel, the hose goes under the rubber and the second stage is clipped by it's bolt snap to the top bolt snap of the stage bottle. As for the "fuse", I only use this on my long hose as it is the only one I every plan to break loose, and I use a tank valve outlet o-ring, not a tank neck o ring.
