Obviously, you don't want to be mixing metric and imperial units at the same dive site. If you think and work in metric (dive tables, depth gauge, etc.) then obviously you want your tanks marked metric. It makes no sense whatsoever to have your stages marked in feet if you are using a metric depth gauge. I would think also, that if you are running an expedition, you would require everyone to standardize on either metric or imperial depending on where you're at.
